From supporting marginalised groups to working alongside communities, activists, and UN Women UK. We believe in DIY, advocacy, and direct action principles to create a society free from gender oppression and patriarchy by creating change from the bottom up. Here are some of the campaigns and immediate actions we have been involved in.

Safe Spaces Now

We’ve united with gender equality champions UN Women UK to develop an industry-leading Safe Spaces Now initiative – to improve safety for women, girls, and marginalised genders in music, at festivals and events. We Hate Pink was proud to participate in the pilot event this year and be the first association to sign the Safe Spaces Now pledge.

16 Days of Activism

We Hate Pink has supported 16 Days of Activism with UN Women UK. The 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence is an annual campaign that begins on 25 November, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, and runs through International Human Rights Day on 10 December.

NGO CSW67

We Hate Pink will attend the sixty-seventh session of the NGO Commission on the Status of Women that will take place from 5 to 17 March 2023 in New York. Over the two weeks of the UN CSW/NY organises almost 800 events during the Forum that inform, engage and inspire grassroots efforts and advocacy needed to empower women and girls.
